Marybelle came to us at the young age of 9 months. Her father who was accidentally electrocuted on his job died on January 14th, 2000. Her mother was said to have died one day after giving birth to Marybelle. However, Marybelle’s mother is alive but was unable to take care of her and her sister Angela. Circumstances became too hard and the mother could no longer take care of them. The grandmother of Marybelle told the local area leader that her daughter had died and she was left with the children. That is how Probation and Social Welfare became involved with their case. 
Marybelle’s mother has relinquished her rights as their mother but she has come to visit only once and she expressed joy at Marybelle’s progress and hopes that one day she may be adopted by a loving couple.
Marybelle is so funny and sassy. She’s got a fantastic bubbly personality and a lovely voice. She loves to sing and is quick to lead the children in song. She will definitely be a praise and worship leader when she gets older. Marybelle’s favorite color is red. She likes hamburger and fries, and watching Spirit (the horse cartoon). She wants to be a doctor when she grows up and her best friend is Rita from school.
Marybelle is such a delight and a joy we love watching her grow. BUT if the Lord chooses and a Godly couple adopts her and her sister then we would release them with heavy hearts but knowing that God’s plan is the best. When you think of us here in Uganda, remember Marybelle.
