Rose Namugosa
Born: unknown
Admitted: n/a
We had the pleasure of naming Rose at the tender age of 3 days old. Her mother died giving birth to her and no relatives ever came to claim the body of Rose’s mother or the new born baby. We were notified by the hospital and the probation department of a brand new baby girl in need of care. She was too small to bring home, so she stayed in the preemie unit for ten days after she was born.
We fell in love with her at once. We call Rose, “Little Rosie.” She is very short and petite for her age yet is so sweet. Rosie loves school and is known as the class clown. She loves teasing the teachers and her fellow students and pretending to be hurt and then starts laughing. She does this at home as well. Sometimes she keeps us in stitches with her funny ways. She will come home and tell you a story she made up and before the story is over, she will laugh and say, “Mommy, I’m so funny!!!” When asked her favorite color, she couldn’t decide between purple, red, pink, orange, and yellow. When she gets older, she hopes to be a police woman.
We love Rose and can’t imagine life without her, but we pray that the Lord will one day allow her to be adopted by a couple who really want to love her just as much as we do. Just as a small rose blooms into a beautiful flower, our little Rosie is beginning to bloom as well. When you think of our little Rose here, remember her in prayer.
