Paul is the newest addition to our home. We received a call from the probation officer that there was a three year old boy who needed to be placed in a loving environment. Little Paul’s mother had died with in the last year, and his father was now on the verge of death due to AIDS. At first we weren’t sure if we had the room and clothes necessary to bring another child into the house. But with Daphine no longer here, we had an extra bed. So with some planning and searching through clothes, we prepared a place for Paul.

Paul arrived on a busy day while Nursery School was still in session. He spoke no English, so only some of the kids and Aunties could talk to him. He seemed over whelmed by the usual chaos of the house. He spoke no Big brother Benja took little Paul under his wing and showed him around and introduced him to the toys outside. Paul was soon smiling and laughing. Since then, we have been able to see Paul’s overwhelming personality. He is very silly and loves to make other’s laugh. He has a comedic personality, and doesn’t even try. Paul loves going to church and asks daily if we will be going today. It is so wonderful to hear that from a three year-old.

We are so happy that Paul now calls AFTC home. We know as he grows he will continue to be a light and make others laugh. He has such a joyful spirit we pray will continue to grow and be a part of him for the rest of his life. Though he hasn’t been with us for very long, we are so grateful he is now here. When you think of us, think of little Paul, who is still getting adjusted to his new loving family and life.
